The Summer Course, 2008, will comprise the following:

LABAN STUDIES
Knowledge and experience of Rudolf Laban's language of movement. This is made up of a focus on the

BODY developing physical awareness, strength, mobility and sensitivity; the moving body in

SPACE as it journeys through the different spatial forms and structures; the body/mind expression known as

EFFORT, with its dynamic changes of tension and rhythm. This holistic approach leads to a richer vocabulary of movement.

RELATIONSHIP
Non verbal interaction leads to deep sharing; the non competitive environment builds trust and allows openness; social activities for all participants offer fun and spontaneity.

MOVEMENT CHOIR
A practical experience of harmonic relationship, oneness and synergy.

CHOICE TOPICS
The staff offer sessions which come from their particular areas of expertise and interests. Topics offered will come from themes such as:
Choreography, dance drama, group dance, mask work, personal journeys, physical theatre, sacred dance, voice/music/movement.
